I’m Salvador,

I was born in Venezuela and raised in Italy. I travelled to the United States when I was 17 years old to further my education. I graduated as a certified chef and came to the UK to gain more experience in 2012. I have been coming to Swansea MAD since June 2024.

Before coming to Swansea MAD, it was difficult for me to try and find work. One day, I just walked by the office on the High Street and came in to ask what the charity was about.

When I found out what they did, I started using the facilities (computers, internet, warm hub) which has helped me better myself.

I mainly came back to Swansea MAD because it made me feel safe. I was able to get support to get into University thanks to the help from the staff, which offered me friendship and guidance.

Since coming to Swansea MAD, I’ve changed a lot and I’m doing much better now. I was able to get into University. I feel more relaxed, happy, and I will continue coming here for support and friendship.

The next steps will be to continue my education. Keep bettering myself and keep in touch with Swansea MAD and let everyone know about it.

Definitely give Swansea MAD a try. They are an exceptional organisation that will help anyone. They will help you to succeed and guide you to where you want to be.
